This is my new site where I will be continuously blogging about my CITC placement. Here’s a brief introduction as to how I have come across my placement.

This year, I opted to take the Critical Issues in Teaching and Coaching module, and one of the key tasks for the module this year is to complete a 20 hour voluntart placement.

At first, I had hoped to return home to complete my placement at a school where I have already completed over 100 hours of voluntary work. However, with the limitations leaving that out of the question I had to find an alternative. At first thoughts I approached St. Peters St. Pauls Catholic school in North Hykeham, however they did not have the time or availability for me to complete my placement here.

Next I approached ‘Hurricane Sports’ which is a coaching company which travels into schools around the East Midlands area and delivers lessons. We have reached an agreement which will allow me to complete my placement with them. Hopefully this will give me the opportunity to coach different sports to different audiences, which will only help my development as a coach.
